I almost called it quits on sending this newsletter this week, and honestly it had nothing to do with how busy life got.

I sat down to write and just stared at the screen thinking, is any of this actually working? The words felt wrong, the whole thing felt like I was performing for an audience instead of talking to one, and before I knew it I was doing that thing where you start questioning everything just to avoid sitting in the uncomfortable truth.

So I sat in it instead. And what I found wasn't a format problem or a branding problem - it was me trying to sound like someone who has this all figured out, which I very much do not, and neither does anyone else reading this on a Wednesday night trying to be a better man, husband, and father.

That's actually why I started this whole thing in the first place. Not to hand down wisdom from some mountain I've already climbed, but to work through the same stuff you're working through, out loud, every week. When I lost sight of that, it stopped feeling like something worth doing.

Spurgeon said the snail made it to the ark through perseverance, not because he had the best strategy or the cleanest path - just because he didn't stop moving.

So here we are. Still figuring it out.

THE MOVE

Whatever you've been thinking about quitting this week, don't. Just do the next small thing without rebuilding the whole thing in your head first, and see what's on the other side of showing up one more time.
